Moneycontrol continues to top business news ranking, beating Economic Times
Comscore’s January data shows Moneycontrol pulling further ahead in audience reach, page views and time spent.
Moneycontrol consolidated its leadership in India’s business and financial news space in January, leading across all key digital metrics tracked by global audience measurement agency Comscore.
The platform attracted 63.38 million unique visitors during the month, more than double that of The Economic Times, which drew 30.61 million, reinforcing Moneycontrol’s lead in overall readership.
The lead was more evident when it came to user engagement. Comscore data shows that Moneycontrol logged 249.25 million page views in January, nearly three times The Economic Times’ 97.18 million. The data points to strong user interaction across Moneycontrol’s content.
Engagement, as measured by time spent, told an even stronger story. Readers spent 581.29 million minutes on Moneycontrol during the month, more than five times the 111.90 million minutes recorded by The Economic Times.
“The numbers reflect the consistency and discipline of our newsroom,” said Nalin Mehta, Managing Editor, Moneycontrol. “Our focus has always been on delivering accurate, timely and insightful reporting across markets, policy and corporate India. In an increasingly fast-moving world, audiences are seeking clarity and credibility.”
Comscore’s January rankings reaffirm Moneycontrol’s leadership in India’s financial news space once again, pointing to its sustained lead in both reach and engagement.
